The Slime Care Guide

Tell us what's wrong, we'll tell you the fix. A little looking after and your slime stays playable for months.

    1. 1Our slime is non-toxic
    2. 2Slime isn't food: keep slime away from mouths
    3. 3Young kids should play with a grown-up around
    4. 4Wash hands after playing

  • Quick Fix

    1. 1Play with clean, dry hands
    2. 2Knead the slime gently for about a minute
    3. 3Now stretch, poke and play. Your slime is warmed up

    Tip: Kneading first brings out the best texture.

  • Quick Fix

    1. 1Add a tiny amount of activator
    2. 2Knead the slime well
    3. 3Still sticky? Repeat, a little at a time

    Tip: It's easier to add more activator than to take it back out.

  • Quick Fix

    1. 1Warm the slime between your palms for a minute
    2. 2Add lotion or glycerine, a small amount at a time
    3. 3Knead the slime through until it's soft again

    1. 1Put the slime back in an airtight container after every play
    2. 2Seal the lid tightly
    3. 3Keep the slime away from direct sun and heat

    1. 1Freeze the slime (in a bag, for clothes) until it's hard
    2. 2Chip the hard slime away
    3. 3Clean what's left with a little dish soap and warm water

    1. 1Work a generous amount of oil or conditioner through the slime
    2. 2Let the slime loosen for a minute
    3. 3Comb the slime out gently

    1. 1Looked after, slime stays playable for months
    2. 2Time for a new one if the slime smells odd, gets dirty, or stays hard after the fixes above

    1. 1Sticky? Try the sticky fix above
    2. 2Hard? Try the hard and stiff fix above
    3. 3Smells odd or looks dirty? That slime is done. Please don't revive it

  • Please Don't

    1. Leave slime out overnight
    2. Mix different slimes together
    3. Add anything not made for slime (soap, food, etc.)
    4. Let young kids play unsupervised
